Getting Started
Prepare your first client delivery. Start with one real project and the links you are ready to share. Your deliverable files can stay in their existing tools.
1. Set up your workspace
Create your account or accept your invitation. Complete the password setup when prompted, then name your workspace. Use a name your team and clients will recognize.
2. Create the client
Open Clients and add the client name. This client area will contain its projects and assigned users.
3. Add the project
Return to Projects, add a project and select the client. Enter the project name and description. Add a cover image to make the project easy to identify.
4. Add the deliverable links
Use Root for project-wide references. Create a phase for the stage you are delivering, such as Concept Presentation, Revision 02 or Final Handover. Add the corresponding links. Choose names that tell the recipient what to open.
5. Check access before sharing
Open each source link with the recipient’s access requirements in mind. Check that you are linking to the intended file or version. A portal invitation does not grant permission on Drive, Figma or another source platform.
6. Invite the client
Open the user-management controls and invite the client’s email address with the client role, Basic in the current interface. Then open Clients and assign that user to the intended client. The invitation alone does not complete the assignment. The client signs in to access shared resources. Access is assigned at client level; review all projects in that area before inviting someone.
7. Prepare the delivery message
On Solo and Pro, use Copy Email Block to prepare the project details and deliverable links. Paste the block into Gmail or Outlook, add a short explanation of the delivery and the next action, review the links, then send from your own inbox.
8. Keep later deliveries distinct
Use a new phase when you need to distinguish a later review or handover. If the delivery must refer to a fixed file version, link to a versioned or exported file on the source platform. Closing a phase is not the same as client approval.
The client cannot see the project
Check the invited email address, user role and client assignment. Confirm that the project belongs to the same client area.
The project opens but the file does not
Check the link and permissions on the original platform. Confirm that the file has not been moved, deleted or restricted.
Before you send
- Open each link and check recipient permissions.
- Use clear names and distinguish review material from final files.
- Explain what changed and what the client should do next.
- Use an exported or versioned source file for a fixed handover.
